It is believed that hundreds of millions of years after the Big Bang, the beginning of the universe, galaxies, which are groups of stars, were born and light began to flood the universe. In 2012, the Subaru Telescope discovered a young galaxy in the universe around that time. Last year, the galaxy was observed with the ALMA radio telescope, and oxygen ions were discovered. This is the most distant discovery of oxygen to date. We will provide a simple explanation of this research result.
